Implant is a root like metallic structure surgically placed in jaw bones to support a Crown or Denture for replacing missing teeth.

Implants used to support a bridge, removable partial or complete Denture, tremendously improve the feel and function of replaced teeth. Teeth lost during young age or missing since birth can also be ideally replaced by Implants. A dental implant is an artificial tooth root which we surgically place in the jawbone to substitute for a missing tooth.
Metal Free Dentistry
Metals, in addition to being unaesthetic looking have even produced sensitivities in some situations (Nickel based). In the recent years the trend has been to avoid metals whenever possible especially in the practice of cosmetic dentistry. Today one has option of having tooth colored fillings, all porcelain pressed, low fusing, Crowns and Bridges.
The Dentistry of this century is striving to be ‘metal free’, however, metals in conventional restorations, Dentures are still practiced effectively.
Bonded Dentistry
With the availability of hi-tech bonding agents it is possible to bond literally any material to the tooth. With the advent of these newer materials it has been possible to conserve the tooth structure, build and replace teeth by tooth colour materials for optimum appearance and function. Adhesive dentistry has made minimum intervention and maximum conservation possible in Restorative Dentistry.
